Fredi, Daz back in training

Posted on 19 August 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Fredi Kanoute and Darren Anderton have both returned to training as our injury picture starts to look more positive.

Recent capture Fredi has been troubled by an abductor problem while midfielder Darren suffered a knee injury in pre-season. Both trained, including ball work, today.

Dean Richards and Ledley King are also set for reserve team comebacks against Portsmouth at Havant & Waterlooville tonight.

"It's positive news for us on the injury front," revealed assistant boss John Gorman at Spurs Lodge. "Fredi joined in training today, Darren trained well and is on his way back.

"It's great news that Fredi got involved although he's still taking it steady at this stage.

"Dean and Ledley play tonight and Chris Perry is back from suspension, so it's looking better for us.

"Bobby Zamora should be okay as well. He has an injury we have to be careful with and that's why he didn't join up with England but hopefully he should be ready for the weekend."
