Frank Arnesen describes the manager of Saturday's opponents Newcastle as not just Sir Bobby Robson - but Sir Football!
Our Sporting Director was Sir Bobby's assistant manager during his first spell at PSV Eindhoven, which was his destination following his eight-year stint as England boss. Robson is now in his early 70s, but Frank recalls him talking about calling it a day and spending more time in the garden back in 1991.
"It is amazing what he has done in his career - fantastic," said Frank of his former boss. "He is not only Sir Bobby Robson, he is Sir Football.
"He is a living legend who was an international himself - although he never really talked about his own playing days. I've known him personally, of course, since 1990 when I was his assistant coach at PSV and he just seems to go on. It is unbelievable.
"He talked about going to smell the roses in 1991 and we are now all these years later and he is still going strong. He is an ambassador - Sir Football.
"Bobby is one of the few English managers to manage outside of England and he came to PSV after a big tournament with England in 1990. He went on to Sporting Lisbon and Porto before he helped me through a difficult period when I was Sporting Director at PSV in 1997-98."
