Clive Allen is determined to avoid a repeat of the match that kick-started our reserves' title charge when they face Leicester City again tonight.

Turn the clock back to November and the Foxes hit us with the classic sucker punch - a late winner from Adam Wykes stole the points after a game we had dominated at Broadhall Way.

Coach Clive wanted a response from his squad after that defeat - and what a response he's received.

Since that defeat, they’ve put together a run of 12 wins in 13 games that took them 12 points clear of Arsenal in the Barclays Reserve League South last week. The Gunners reduced that lead to nine points by beating Charlton on Monday night.

The lads travel to Hinckley United FC tonight (kick-off 7pm) with Clive looking to restore that 12-point gap and dish out a little revenge along the way.

"We’re in a fantastic position and now we’ve got to finish the season off," said Clive.

"The lads have continued to turn in good performances and results and you look at this game as a tricky one because we came unstuck against Leicester at home earlier in the season.

"That defeat actually spurred us into the best run we’ve had this season - the response after that has been excellent with the run of wins we’ve had.

"We’re not going to underestimate them in any way and we go into every game wanting to win.

"That’s the challenge I’ve set the team, we’ve had a couple of tricky games with the likes of Arsenal, West Ham and Portsmouth and this won’t be any different."

Squad: Cerny, Burch, McKenna, Ghaly, Bunjevcevic, Huddlestone, Jackson, Marney, Reid, Barnard, Maghoma, Lewis, Barcham, Martin, Daniels, Lewis.
