The midfielder played his part as we recovered from the 4-3 FA Cup exit against Manchester City to record 4-3 and 4-2 Premiership wins against Portsmouth and Charlton respectively.
Those wins made it five in our last six Premiership outings and Foxes - including ex-Spurs Steffen Freund, Ian Walker, Les Ferdinand and Ben Thatcher - are next at the Lane on Sunday.
Gus, who scored the dramatic winner against Pompey, said: "After the Charlton game we were talking about the turn around from the end of 2003. Then we were in the bottom three, 18 points and now, six games later, 33 points after 15 points out of 18. It's amazing.
"But everyone is looking to the next game, that's the most important thing.
"Everyone is thinking about Leicester. We're not looking back or thinking two or three games ahead, or when we go to Macnester United or play Arsenal - everyone is talking about Leicester.
"If we win that game, this run will keep going and you never know."
Gus Poyet insists the lads' focus has shifted straight onto Leicester City rather than dwelling on our amazing last three games.
