The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation has again been acknowledged and rewarded for its innovative and cutting edge delivery of community programmes by receiving two new funding awards from Sport England and the Mayor’s Sporting Legacy Fund.
Within the last month the Foundation has secured a sum totalling more than £360,000 to deliver two new groundbreaking projects targeting individuals from disadvantaged communities across four London Boroughs. Both initiatives will deliver opportunities aimed at providing sporting provision and/or up-skilling in order to help improve access to employment or further education.
Daniel Levy, Tottenham Hotspur Chairman, said: “Securing such significant funding is testament to the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s track record of producing successful projects that make a positive impact on the lives of individuals. The Foundation can be proud of the fact that their work really does make a difference.”
Grant Cornwell MBE, Chief Executive Officer of the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, added: “The two separately funded projects will focus on those individuals that are most disadvantaged, including young individuals not in education, employment or training (NEET). As a Foundation we work extremely hard to make full use of the funding we receive and we continue to push boundaries and challenge social issues facing our communities.”
