The funding will go towards supporting the Foundation’s employment and training initiatives including its matchday volunteering kiosk at White Hart Lane and jobs brokerage service.

Both programmes are designed to help local unemployed people get the experience, training and guidance needed to secure a job within the local area.

To date, the Foundation has received over £450,000 from players of the charity lottery to support its community development schemes in Haringey, Enfield, Waltham Forest and Barnet.

PPL funding has helped the Foundation:

•    Support 500 young people at risk of becoming involved with gun or knife crime through one-to-one mentoring sessions and enterprise workshops.
•    Inspire over 100 young people to gain their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Level Award.
•    Create sustainable employment pathways for over 160 children in care and care-leavers through the E18HTEEN programme in Haringey and Enfield.
•    Deliver employment opportunities to over 4,000 people via jobs fairs at White Hart Lane.
•    Become the first Premier League football Club Foundation to exhibit at London’s largest careers event, Skills London 2015, offering employment and training support to 300,000 young people.

Grant Cornwell MBE, CEO of Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, said: “A huge thanks to players of the People’s Postcode Lottery for awarding Tottenham Hotspur Foundation an additional £25,000 funding. Their continued support is used to back some of our most important projects which promote social cohesion and drive employment opportunities for our local community.”

Clara Govier, Head of Charities at People’s Postcode Lottery, said: “As People’s Postcode Lottery continues to grow the amount that our players award to good causes continues to increase.
