Forest, Blades in pre-season

Posted on 28 April 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Trips to Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest have been added to our pre-season friendly schedule.

We take on Sheffield United on Sunday July 25 with a 3pm kick-off at Bramall Lane.

Forest - managed by Spurs legend Joe Kinnear - follow at the City Ground on Saturday July 31, another 3pm kick-off.

Kinnear made over 250 appearances for us between 1966-75 and the former Wimbledon boss has taken Forest out of the relegation zone in Division One since his arrival as manager in February, losing just two of 15 games in that time.

United are once again challenging for a place in the play-offs in Division One.

It will be the first time Michael Brown has returned to Bramall Lane since his switch from the Blades to Spurs in January.

We have already announced friendlies against the Glasgow giants Rangers and Celtic, again both away, on Wednesday July 28 and Monday August 9 respectively.

Here is our pre-season friendly schedule so far...

Sunday July 25, Sheffield United v Spurs, Bramall Lane, 3pm.

Wednesday July 28, Rangers v Spurs, Ibrox, 7.45pm

Saturday Julu 31, Nottingham Forest v Spurs, City Ground, 3pm

Monday August 9, Celtic v Spurs, Celtic Park, 7.45pm

We will continue to release details of pre-season friendlies including Spurs XI fixtures when they are confirmed via the club's official communication channels - our mobile service spurs (((on!))) and here at
