The 18-year-old came on leaps and bounds under the guidance of Academy goalkeeping coach Perry Suckling.
And he saved his best for the big games with some fine performances in the FA Youth Cup - including penalty shoot-out heroics against Liverpool at Anfield.
"Tommy was one of the plusses of the season," said Under-18s coach Pat. "Credit goes to the boy and Perry, he’s done a lot of work with Tommy and Tommy responded. He’s 50 per cent better than he was last season and he just has to keep moving in that direction."
Goalkeeping coach Hans added: "Perhaps 50 per cent is even a bit mild — he’s improved even more than that!
"I’ve known Tommy for quite a few years now, the club took him on not knowing what we would have but we’ve seen him grow as a goalkeeper.
"Last season was a huge season for him, he got through it and he’s now with me next season and that’s another level. It will be a big test for him and hopefully he’ll improve again."
Pat Holland and Hans Segers were delighted by the rapid progress made by Academy keeper Tommy Forecast last season.
