THOSE words would be music to the ears of most of us (okay, not the running bit) but Tuesday's session was a tough one as the squad hit the eighth day of pre-season training and started to look ahead to America.
The morning session was a combination of high-tempo football and running circuits.
The squad was split into four groups of five and as two groups played football, the other two clocked up the miles 'interval running' - ie, having to run a certain distance in a certain time - around the pitches at Spurs Lodge.
The lads played football, then ran, played football, then ran - and did it 10 times!
They followed that up with a session in the gymnasium after lunch.
It'a days like today that take Xtra back to all those tough summer evenings preparing for a hard season of Sunday football - one lap to warm up, Wembley doubles, a match and into the pub for a pint and pork scratchings...
