FIVE IN ENGLAND SQUAD

Sven Goran Eriksson has named five of our players in the England squad to play Uruguay on Wednesday.

Sven Goran Eriksson has named five of our players in the England squad to play Uruguay on Wednesday.

Paul Robinson, Ledley King, Michael Carrick, Jermaine Jenas and Jermain Defoe are in the 23-man party for the friendly at Anfield.

The match, which kicks-off at 8.05pm, is the first of three friendlies prior to the World Cup.

It takes our tally to eight players on England duty next week with Tom Huddlestone, Aaron Lennon and Wayne Routledge - currently on loan at Portsmouth - in Peter Taylor's Under-21 squad for the friendly against Norway at Reading on Tuesday.
