Fittest squad yet

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle says he now has the fittest squad at his disposal in his 18 months at the club.

Mauricio Taricco's return for the reserves on Wednesday night means only Neil Sullivan (broken thumb), Anthony Gardner, Tim Sherwood (both knee) and Matthew Etherington (ankle) are out of action as the boss turns his attentions to Birmingham City on Saturday.

Les Ferdinand is back in contention after continuing his comeback from a back injury with the full 90 minutes at Portman Road.Simon Davies will miss out through suspension but Glenn will have plenty of options for the trip to St Andrews.

"It's the best scene we've had on fitness levels since I've been here, so that's good news," reported Glenn at Spurs Lodge this afternoon.

"We've still got Anthony Gardner, Neil Sullivan, Tim Sherwood and Matthew Etherington out.

"There are a couple of players at half-way house. Tano has played 45 minutes in the reserves, Les is on his way back and the likes of Steve Clemence is fit but will have to be patient now to try and break back into the team. But it's nice to have everyone fit."
