Defender Gardner was back in action after a fortnight lay-off with a slight shin injury sustained at our training camp in France.
It was his second pre-season match and he found himself in a physical battle with Fisher's big forward Steve Watts that he came through largely untroubled.
It was also JJ's second friendly after playing 45 minutes at Bishop's Stortford and it was somewhat of a frustrating evening for the England midfielder who made a number of bursts forward in the first half without the ball falling kindly for him.
Fisher, from the Conference South, provided stern opposition at Dulwich Hamlet's Champion Hill Stadium with the friendly becoming a little feisty at times.
However, it was a good test for Clive Allen's men and they came through thanks to Barcham's two-goal burst in the space of four minutes in the second half.
Earlier, Jamie O'Hara curled home a beauty from 30 yards to hand us the lead but the home side struck back before the break when Leroy Griffiths' low cross from the right evaded everyone and ended up in the back of the net via the far post.
