Harry has been shortlisted for both PFA Player and Young Player awards for the second-successive season while Dele is up for the Young Player prize at the PFA’s showpiece evening in London on Sunday, April 24.

Dele, who only turned 20 on Monday, has enjoyed a stunning first season in the Premier League (eight goals, nine assists) while Harry - last season’s PFA Young Player - just goes from strength to strength. He has 25 goals for the season now in all competitions and with 22, currently tops the Premier League goalscoring chart with five games remaining.

Both have also starred for England this season with Dele scoring a spectacular goal against France on his first start at Wembley and then taking the plaudits in the 3-2 win in Germany where Harry and team-mate Eric Dier scored and Danny Rose also started.

“It’s a great feeling to be nominated,” said Dele. “It’s been a fantastic season for the team and for me personally as well.

“We have a lot of younger players and to play how we have this season is great credit not just to the team but to the gaffer and the staff here.

“To have a PFA nomination from this team is great news for me. It’s a huge award and a real honour to be nominated and if I was to win it’s another bonus for this season.”

Harry added: “It’s nice to be up for both awards again, a good achievement and certainly shows you are doing something right.

“It’s always an honour to be nominated by the PFA because it’s your fellow professionals who have voted and they have that understanding of the game.

“Dele has had a great season so it’s no surprise to see him nominated as well. It’s great to see a couple of Spurs lads in the running!”
