The French international goalkeeper suffered a slight knock to his shoulder right at the end of Sunday’s victory at Manchester City and Mauricio Pochettino says he’s likely to miss Thursday night’s game in Florence and possibly Sunday’s FA Cup match at home to Crystal Palace as a result.
“Bad news - in the last action against Manchester City, Hugo got a knock on his shoulder and is out for tomorrow and maybe out for Sunday,” the Head Coach told Spurs TV today (Wednesday, February 17).
“We’ll see next week if he’s available to play the second leg against Fiorentina.”
Mauricio also confirmed that a couple of young players are among the group that travelled to Italy.
“Josh Onomah and Cameron Carter-Vickers are with us in the squad,” he added. “That’s very important but the squad is strong, we are in a good period and it’s important to keep that.”
Jan Vertonghen and Clinton Njie remain out with knee injuries.
