Spurs weekend preview - Hull away, key youth internationals

Posted on 19 May 2017  - 15:06

The Premier League season draws to a close on Sunday, while several of our young players have high-profile youth international matches to look forward to. Here's a run-down of who's playing where and when this weekend...

Premier League
Sunday, May 21, 2017
KCOM Stadium, 3pm

The curtain comes down on the Premier League season on Sunday afternoon, as we travel to Hull City.

The Tigers have already been relegated after one season back in the top flight, but with ex-Spurs Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone among their ranks, plus injury absentee Ryan Mason, they'll no doubt be keen to bow out with a good performance.

For ourselves, all eyes will be on Harry Kane as he bids to secure what would be a second consecutive Golden Boot. Following his four-goal masterclass in Thursday night's 6-1 win at Leicester City, he's two goals ahead of Everton's Romelu Lukaku going into the weekend with a total top-flight haul of 26.

European Under-17 Championship Final
Friday, May 19, 2017
Varazdin, Croatia, 7pm

Two of our Under-18s regulars remain in the squad as England Under-17s look to make history by becoming the first nation to win the European Under-17 Championship for a third time when they take on Spain in the Final tonight (Friday, May 19).

Defender TJ Eyoma and striker Reo Griffiths are available for selection, but sadly midfielder Tashan Oakley-Boothe has been forced to withdraw from the squad after suffering an injury in Tuesday's 2-1 semi-final win over Turkey. TJ and Tashan both started that game, Tashan being forced off in the first period, with Reo an unused substitute.

The Young Lions meet Guinea in their second match of the group stage on Tuesday, May 23 (kick-off 9am), before facing host nation South Korea on Friday, May 26 (kick-off 12noon).
