We'll fight to the end - Mauricio

Mauricio Pochettino spoke about 'different objectives' as we fight to the finish of the Premier League.

The first of our final five fixtures is at Stoke on Monday (8pm) with leaders Leicester City set to take on West Ham in today's (Sunday, April 17) early kick-off.

"It’s important to keep fighting," said Mauricio. "We have different objectives - one is to try and win the title but also to play in the Champions League, this is important too for the club and if it’s not to win the title, it’s to stay in second. That is very important

"We have big motivation to try and reduce the gap with Leicester but in the same way, the motivation is also to keep our position if it’s not possible to win the title.

"That’s why the win against Manchester United was so important and not just the three points but the way that we won. We showed we deserved to stay in the position we’re in in the table.

"We‘re focused, we have five games ahead and it’s important we try to win those five games.

"It’s important to compete until the end and try to win the title. That’s our objective, our dream and for our supporters too. We know we need to fight a lot, to be lucky as well, to wait and hope Leicester drop some points."
