It’s a fourth round tie that illustrates the old cliché ‘magic of the FA Cup’.
However, Mauricio is determined to make sure there is no FA Cup wand waved over White Hart Lane as we aim for a place in the last 16.
Below: Mauricio previews the Wycombe tie on Spurs TV
Wycombe are in fine form, unbeaten in 16 games in all competitions and up to fifth in League Two.
“It will be fantastic for them but for us too, we can all feel how special the FA Cup is,” said Mauricio. “Wycombe have massive motivation and we need to be the same - motivated, ready to fight and then try to win the game.
“It’s true they are a League Two team but they have players who are strong in the way they play, they are in good form and in a good position in the table, fighting for promotion.
“They have some players we know like Dominic Gape, who trained with us when we were at Southampton and the striker (Ade) Akinfenwa, he’s big and very strong.
"We need to forget that it’s a League Two team, it’s 11 v 11 and in one game, a lot of things can happen. If you are right in your mind you can compete and give your best.”
