The full-back has joined the rest of our players on Euro 2016 duty this summer as the squad come together for the first time for our final pre-season friendly against Inter Milan in Oslo. We kick-off at 4pm UK time and it’s live on ITV4.
Kyle’s raids down the right were one of unfortunately few highlights for England in France and he’s looking to take that form into next season - the big kick-off at Everton just eight days away.
“Things just didn’t pan out the way they should have for us,” reflected Kyle on the summer. “We played well in the first two games, couldn’t break down Slovakia and then Iceland was a disappointing result. We have to dust ourselves down and move on.

“Being named Man of the Match in the Wales game is a moment I’ll cherish for the rest of my career but it's a team game and overall, we didn’t do so well.
“Now I’m looking to hit the ground running for the new season.
“I feel good. It was a short break so I don’t feel too rusty. I feel fit and raring to go.”
Inter is the latest of a number of high-profile pre-season friendlies in the last couple of seasons - Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus, Atletico Madrid - and the ideal opponents this time around, according to Kyle.
“It’s the type of game we need, especially with us back in the Champions League,” he said.
“These friendlies should stand us in good stead for the start of the season. It’s all about fitness and hopefully we’ll put in a good performance, get a positive result and then we can look forward to Everton.”

Our longest-serving player with 190 appearances under his belt since 2009, Kyle remembers well our last meeting with Inter, in the Europa League L16 back in 2013.
Leading 3-0 from the first leg, we were under the cosh in the return at the San Siro as Inter won 3-0 to take the game into extra time. Thankfully, we found a goal from Emmanuel Adebayor to make it 3-1 on the night and although Inter scored again, we went through on away goals.
“I remember that night clearly,” he added. “We played well in the first leg but had a real scare. It was a strange night but we came through it in the end!”
