Dele's focus

Dele Alli has been told plenty about how tough it can be at Stoke, but he'll face a much different test to what he used to watch on TV as a youngster when we step out at the Britannia Stadium this evening.

"When I was younger and watched the Premier League you were used to Stoke being a more direct team but that has all changed now, they have great technical players," said the midfielder. "It won’t be easy for us but we fancy ourselves against anyone."

Mark Hughes has changed Stoke's playing style and they continue to take scalps at the Britannia - City, United and Chelsea have all fallen in the Potteries this season.

For us though, tonight's task is straight forward - try to win and cut Leicester's lead to five points.

"There is so much going on around us but it’s important we clear our heads and go out and try to do what we’ve done all season, however difficult that might be," said Dele, who has enjoyed a quite a week - a goal against United, turning 20 and a PFA Young Player nomination.

"It’s important we stay focused. We’ve got a job to do, we know how good we are as a team and we have to stick together and try to win every game, not worry about Leicester are doing.

"The mentality we’ve had all season has been to take it a game at a time, not to think too far ahead and we have to stay focused and try to win every game."
