The Danish international saw Victor Wanyama seal a late 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last week and is naturally keen on a second consecutive home victory when the Reds come to White Hart Lane on Saturday lunchtime (kick-off 12.30pm).
Victor’s winner against the Eagles came seven minutes from time but ahead of our clash with Jurgen Klopp’s men, Christian has underlined the importance of taking our chances earlier in the match.
“Hopefully we’ll take the upper hand, keep our home crowd going and keep doing like we did last Saturday – just keep the same energy and hopefully score some goals a bit earlier,” he said.
“Every game is different, of course. Liverpool lost at Burnley last week so anything can happen. You know in the Premier League that’s the case but they have a big squad.
“For us, it’s about getting our game plan going and getting the points.”
On the influence of Klopp on the Liverpool players, Christian added: “He’s brought a big charisma to the club, we saw that from the beginning.
“They have some incredible players in their team and even on a bad day they still manage to score goals so we need to be careful.
“For us, though, we need to win our games. Against Liverpool it will be a big match and a very exciting one.”
