Heung-Min Son's first Premier League brace set us on the way with Dele Alli and Harry rounding off another memorable victory in the Potteries.
Toby and Ben played their part in the back four as we kept a clean sheet - the latter picking up his first domestic game time of the season.
On overall outcome
"It's not just me, I think we all had a great afternoon. It's a very difficult game away at Stoke, we won 4-0 and we had unbelievable support. I think we deserved to win and I'm very happy - it was my first game this season and I was very excited to play again in the Premier League. Stoke, in the first 10 minutes, did well but after more and more time we were doing very well. I think we were very aggressive and I think everyone could see we really wanted this win.
On his goals
"For both my goals, Christian's passes were unbelievable and I just had to touch the ball. It's good memories. For the first one, Chris had the ball, he looked into the middle, I just ran, we made good eye contact, then he produced a great pass and my left foot just touched the ball and it was a great finish."
On Harry Kane scoring 50 Premier League goals
"Congratulations to him! It's not easy to score 50 league goals for one club and I'm very happy to give him the assist for the 50th goal!"
On his first club game since the Euros
"You want to play as much as you can but Danny (Rose) has not put a foot wrong, so I can’t complain too much. That’s football and it means when I get a chance, like I did today, I have to try to do well."
On team performance against Stoke
"Stoke is never an easy place to come. They are a good side and will take a lot of points off teams this season, so to come here and play as we did is very pleasing. We can enjoy it – but not for too long! A clean sheet was the biggest bonus for us at the back. We said before the game that if we did our job, we have the quality and firepower to score goals, and that’s what we did. We had to put our bodies on the line a few times early on, they made it difficult for us but we’d expect nothing less here. After that, the boys up top made it easy for us. Stoke added well over the summer, signed well and it’s a tough game here. We put in a good performance."
On Sonny's double
"He’s got that in his locker. Talking to him, he was perhaps a little disappointed with his own performances last season and it’s about how to recover from that and he’s been doing everything to do that. He's been great in pre-season, he did well in the Olympics for South Korea and now he’s back and training hard. That has given him confidence and then when you go out and score two goals like that and assist another – you can’t ask for more. That’s what we need, everyone in the squad ready to play."
On Champions League opener against Monaco at Wembley
"Wembley will be amazing. It’s going to be a record crowd for the Club, it's at our national stadium and it’s going to be an incredible atmosphere, amazing. We’re all excited, we can’t wait."
On strength early in the game
"Over the 90 minutes we defended well but the whole team worked hard for that. In the first 20 minutes it’s so important not to concede a goal and after that, we know we have the quality to score goals. Even at 2-0 and 3-0 we worked hard, stayed organised and everyone was on it. We didn’t want to concede and that’s important for us."
On commitment after fourth goal
"That pride is important - even if you are up, you don’t relax, don’t lose focus because you take that into the next game. This performance and result now gives us that confidence for Monaco on Wednesday."
"Harry got his confidence back with a goal but you know he has quality and he will be right up there again. Sonny was fantastic. It’s not been an easy time for him but he got a chance, played like that, his mentality was great and he showed what he’s shown us all in training. It’s a great example for the lads who aren’t playing, if you do well in training you’ll get a chance and then you have to take it."
