A Harry Kane brace, plus goals from Erik Lamela, Dele Alli, Vincent Janssen and Shayon Harrison gave us a resounding 6-1 victory over the Serie A giants at Ullevaal Stadion.

Vincent Janssen

On scoring against Inter Milan
“Of course, it’s nice if you score a goal, that’s what you train for and that’s why I came here to Tottenham, because I want to make goals and I’m happy that I scored today. Inter are a fantastic team and it’s very nice to win 6-1. It’s a very good score and it gives us confidence for our first game in the league.”

On being on the pitch with fellow striker Harry Kane
“It was nice. It’s new for us. Of course, we’d never played together so it’s good that we’ve done that now. It’s nice to play in the team with him because he’s a quality player and I hope we can do likewise some more times.”

Dele Alli

On emphatic win against Inter
“We’re delighted. It was important we got the win today with the season coming up and it was a great performance by the team. That’s just what we needed. After today we’re all raring to go, we’re ready to get out there and for the first whistle to go. It’s important that we try to get the win on the first day of the season. We’re all excited.”

On his own performance
“I felt a bit rusty out there to be honest! It was good to blow the cobwebs off and get some minutes. Like I said, we’re all ready and raring to go for Everton now.”

On Vincent and Harry
“Vincent is a great player and he showed today what he’s got to offer. He scored his goal and for my goal, I played it into him, he set it back and all I had to do was stick it in the back of the net. You know what you are going to get with Harry, he’s going to score goals whoever it’s against. They were two great finishes and I’m sure he’s delighted.”

Michel Vorm

On team performance against Inter
“I think it’s a great win. We dominated almost the whole game and scored some very good goals so I think we can be very pleased for all the guys. It’s good for everyone to be honest, a very good result. We played two good games in Australia last week but with a different result and now we’ve played well, scored good goals and everybody took part in this game so that’s very positive. Obviously we’re almost at the start of the Premier League so I think it couldn’t be better.”

On the plans for this week
“The good thing is that we know what we want, we know how we want to play so the only thing we can do is improve and get stronger physically and mentally for the first game against Everton. You also know that the Premier League is totally different to the friendlies in pre-season so even though we’re happy about this result I think next week it’s totally different so we’re just going to work hard like we always do and make sure everybody is ready to get a good result at Everton.”
