The perfect Trip!
It might have been unchartered territory, but Kieran Trippier took his chance like the most prolific of marksmen to secure a key 1-0 win against Watford on Saturday.
To be fair to the flying full-back, Kieran played like an auxiliary right winger throughout the 90 minutes as we dominated against the Hornets and it was no surprise he was advanced enough to apply the finish to Dele Alli’s cross in the 64th minute.
It was his first Spurs goal, a first in the Premier League and first since New Year’s Day, 2014!

“Dele went down the left and I thought to myself ‘just run up the field, try to get on the back stick’,” reflected Kieran.
“That’s what the manager wants to see, me playing as a right winger. It just fell to me and I was delighted to score my first goal for Tottenham.

“I don’t even know what was going through my mind afterwards. I was delighted to score but the most important thing was that the team got the three points.
“I thought we were dominant from start to finish. We always believe we’re going to score and win. Our fitness levels are there, we can run for 95 minutes, we kept believing and the goal came.
"It’s an important win and a massive three points.”
