The skipper was delighted with the controlled display that saw us recover from the loss of midfielders Harry Winks and Victor Wanyama to secure a 2-0 victory at Turf Moor.
Eric Dier, who moved seamlessly from defence into midfield in the reshuffle, opened the scoring on 66 minutes with Heung-Min Son adding the second 10 minutes later as we racked up our 11th win in the last 14 games.
"We showed again how strong we are," said Hugo. "This was more about mentality, especially after losing two players in the first half and playing a tough game away after an international break.

"It showed everyone is ready - ready to fight, ready to help the team. It was a very strong team performance. It wasn’t fantastic but very solid, very concentrated, we stopped a lot of crosses, won a lot of second balls and that was key against Burnley.
"We showed a lot of maturity because even after the first half, we stayed calm, we stayed concentrated individually and as a team. We kept going in the same way until the end. We can congratulate all the players because mentally we were very strong."
It was put to Hugo that you couldn't win a game at somewhere like Turf Moor in those circumstances without that togetherness. "That’s our philosophy, our spirit that we try to keep inside the changing room, especially at this time of the season," he added.
"Every point can make the difference and we just need to stay focused."
