The striker fired us ahead from the penalty spot eight minutes into the second half at the Etihad Stadium after Raheem Sterling was adjudged to have handled Danny Rose’s cross.
Christian Eriksen later won it for us after City substitute Kelechi Iheanacho had got his side back on level terms, with Harry keen to highlight the team’s work ethic after the game.
“To come here where City are very good and get the result how we did is great,” he said.
“It was a different performance to the 4-1 win at home and it shows what we’re capable of. It’s not just one way of playing – we can adapt, battle and everyone worked very hard for each other so it’s very rewarding to get the three points.
“It’s always a tough game here on a big pitch. City, at home, have the incentive to go forward and try to get the result. We got ahead but then dropped off a bit too much, they got the goal back but to go again and get the goal for 2-1 shows the character and ability in the team.
“It was a great ball from Coco (Erik Lamela) to put Christian through for the winner, he took a great touch to set it up and then he did what he does best – put it in the back of the net. It was a cool finish in a pressure situation so I’m delighted for him.
“To get the victory in the end is an amazing result and we have to build on this going forward.”
On his penalty, in which he was tasked with beating England international team-mate Joe Hart, Harry explained: “We practice a few with England and he (Hart) had a few words in my ear before I took it, so I was very happy to see it hit the back of the net.
“I practice a lot in training, shooting towards all sides and it’s just down to whatever I’m feeling in the game as to where it goes.
“If the keeper goes early I can see it and go the other way, but I had a feeling he was going to dive so I hit it down the middle.
“Our fans travelled a long way so to get the goals and to be able to celebrate in front of them like that after the game was something special.
“It’s moments like those that you take with you and they give you the motivation to continue going forward.”
