Dele Alli was brutally honest about his own performance when he joined Heung-Min Son, Eric Dier and goalscorer Vincent Janssen to assess Saturday's 1-1 draw with Leicester City.

The England midfielder put in a committed shift at White Hart Lane, often using his trickery to evade the physical threat of his blue-clad markers.

But he revealed afterwards that he was far from pleased with his own personal showing.

Vincent, meanwhile, earned praise from both Sonny and Dele after getting off the mark in the Premier League with his first-half penalty.

Here's a look at what the players had to say...

Dele Alli

On whether he was satisfied with his own showing
"No. I feel like I should have scored a few goals and had more of an effect on the game. I think I lost the ball too many times."

On the physicality of the contest
"We didn’t get pushed about, it’s important that we stand up for ourselves and I think no-one was going to shy away from a tackle which is key for us. It wasn’t easy but we knew what they were going to bring so it was important that we stuck to our game plan and performed well. It was important that we didn’t get carried away and get brought into how they wanted the game to be. I think we did that but again it was just a case of not being clinical in the final third.

On facing fellow England midfielder Danny Drinkwater
"He’s a good player, obviously he deserves to be where he is so fair play to him."

On Vincent's first league goal
"He loves a penalty! As soon as it was given I knew he was going to run after the ball and everyone was confident he was going to put it away. He’s a great player, it was only a matter of time before he got his first goal in the Premier League and now hopefully he can get some more."

Heung-Min Son

On the nature of the game
"We are disappointed because we lost two points. We should have scored more, we had some good chances to score but this is football – we have to understand, we have to just score and play well. They were strong but we were also. There were many fouls but to be honest we are really disappointed."

On Vincent's goal
"Vincent ran towards the ball straight away, he wanted to score his first Premier League goal and I’m very happy for him. I want to congratulate him.”

Eric Dier

On the recent run of draws
"We’ll keep playing, keep improving the way we play, try to get better and try to start winning games because we’re drawing too many."

On the outcome against Leicester
"It’s very frustrating. We controlled the game from start to finish and we know what Leicester are going to do, we know their style so we’re very disappointed because we didn’t create more chances and obviously didn’t score enough goals."

Vincent Janssen

On our tactics against the Foxes
"Our intention before the game was to win the game and at the end if you have one point then you are disappointed. Leicester let us play football in our half and then used the counter-attack. Okay, they are very good at that and have a lot of qualities on the counter-attack but we were much better and deserved the three points."
