Mauricio on Kane's injury: 'His progress is very good, we're so happy'

Mauricio Pochettino is pleased with the progress Harry Kane is making in his rehabilitation from injury.

The striker damaged lateral ligaments in his right ankle during the first half of our 4-1 win at Bournemouth on 11 March.

He subsequently missed our 3-0 FA Cup quarter-final win at Swansea City and England’s friendlies against the Netherlands and Italy over the international break.

However, speaking to Spurs TV ahead of our return to Premier League action on Sunday, manager Mauricio delivered some encouraging news.

“His progress is very good,” he said.

“We are so happy because his progression is very positive. Now we need to assess him day-by-day and then take a decision.

“We’ll see what happens in the next few days.”
