South Korean international star Sonny has bagged four goals in our last three matches in the Premier League and is our top scorer in the FA Cup this season with six goals from four – including his first ever Spurs hat-trick against Millwall in last month’s quarter-finals.
He took his domestic tally to 11 with a brace in Saturday’s 4-0 triumph over Watford and is now on 18 goals for the season in all competitions ahead of our meeting with the Cherries this weekend.
Right-back Kieran, another player in fine form of late, has been impressed with the way Sonny has combined goalscoring prowess with positional versatility in recent weeks in the absence of central striker Harry Kane.
“Obviously he’s in double figures in the Premier League now and he’s been excellent this season,” said ‘Trips’.
“I’m gutted that he didn’t get his hat-trick last weekend but it just shows how frustrated he was in himself because he knows he could have got it.
“Like I’ve said before, though, he’s such a good player. When Harry has been injured he’s played up top and Vincent (Janssen) has done well when he’s come in as well, so he’s a very important player for us.
“He can use his left foot, his right foot – he’s just a quality player.”
