Kane moves level with Duquemin on Club top scorers list

Sun 25 February 2018, 23:07|Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane has climbed further up our list of top 10 all-time goalscorers to joint number seven after his late winner at Crystal Palace.

The striker had drawn level with Alan Gilzean in eighth place with his 133rd goal in our colours during last weekend’s FA Cup fifth round draw at Rochdale.

But his 89th-minute header to secure a 1-0 victory at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon saw him move above the prolific Scot and equal Len Duquemin’s total of 134 goals – the seventh highest tally in our history.

Len (pictured, below) secured his haul in 307 matches between 1947 and 1957 – Harry has hit that mark in just 201 outings.

Our England hotshot also marked his 150th club career goal on Sunday with his 35th of the season in all competitions – the same amount he bagged in the entirety of last term, which is his best domestic seasonal return to date.

Next in Harry’s sights is George Hunt’s total of 138 Spurs goals, which he plundered in just 198 matches between 1930 and 1937 – the sixth highest Spurs tally ever.
