Harry nominated for PFA Awards once again

For the fourth year in a row, Harry Kane has been shortlisted for both of the top men's Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Awards.

Named PFA Young Player of the Year during his breakthrough campaign in 2014-15, Harry is once again up for that honour, in addition to the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.

That means he's now been nominated for both prizes in 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18.

A two-time Premier League Golden Boot winner, Harry is in the midst of his best ever goalscoring season with his current total standing at 36 in all competitions. His previous best was 35 last term.

PFA members from 92 clubs in the Premier League and Football League had their say as the shortlists of nominees were compiled.

There are six nominees in each category; Harry joins Manchester City midfielders Kevin de Bruyne, David Silva and Leroy Sane, Liverpool forward Mo Salah and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea in contention for Players’ Player, while City goalkeeper Ederson and midfielders Sane and Raheem Sterling, plus Fulham left-back Ryan Sessegnon and United forward Marcus Rashford complete the list of Young Player nominees along with our home-grown striker.

The winners, along with the names selected for the prestigious PFA Premier League Team of the Year, will be announced at the 45th annual PFA Awards at the Grosvenor House, London, on Sunday 22 April.
