Legendary former captain and Club Ambassador Ledley King collected the trophy on Harry's behalf at a glitzy ceremony at the Tower of London on Monday night.

"It's something I'm extremely proud to receive," said Harry. "To have all the support from fans all across the country is mind-blowing really, so thank you.

"Of course, it's been a good year for me – picking up the Golden Boot and scoring the winning goals to send England to the World Cup are things I'm extremely proud of."

The FSF awards, voted for by members of the public and a panel of experts, celebrate everything from the best players to the top club fanzines and podcasts around.

Hugo Lloris was also shortlisted for the Men's Player of the Year award, while Proud Lilywhites, our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGB&T) fan group, was shortlisted for the Fans for Diversity Award.
