The in-form Argentine forward reached the century mark for the club against Borussia Dortmund.
It's fair to say none of the players were exactly jumping for joy after the 2-1 loss against the Bundesliga side in the Europa League Round of 16, second leg, but Erik did raise a smile when told of his milestone.
"I'm proud to play 100 games for Spurs," said Erik, whose high-energy performances have impressed this season. "This is home for me, I’m happy playing here, I love the club, the supporters and the team."
Think about highlights from the 100 and the famous 'rabona' against Asteras Tripolis last season immediately strings to mind but Erik recognises that he's kicked on again this time around and with that, more highlights including his goal against City in September, a hat-trick against Monaco, a clever finish at Watford, fine strike against Fiorentina and one of the key moments of the campaign, his assist for Christian Eriksen to beat City again at the Etihad on Valentine's Day.

What are your favourite moments, Erik?
Erik: "The rabona was a good goal but I prefer this season because the team is playing well and we’re not finished yet, we can still do better."
Our fans like the goal against City...
Erik: "Okay, thanks! I just like the way we’ve played for the whole season and hope we can finish the season in a good way."
What about your own form?
Erik: "I don’t know, I think the team is most important and the team has helped me a lot. We are fighting to win every game, we show that. This is the way to keep going."
Is there more to come?
Erik: "Yes, I hope so. I just hope we finish the season well and we all want to play in the Champions League next season and I hope we can achieve that."
