Younes Kaboul believes it is vital we start taking the lead in games to avoid a repeat of the two defeats that have kicked off our Premier League campaign.
The 3-0 reverse at Manchester United in our opener was followed up by a 5-1 beating at the hands of Manchester City at the Lane on Sunday.
The French defender is making no excuses, but feels we would give ourselves a much better chance of winning three points if we were to take the initiative in games.
Younes said: “It’s tough. We conceded five goals and now we've conceded eight goals in two games, that's too many for Spurs. We should defend better than that.
“We're all disappointed with the goals, five goals at home, that's a lot. I think we have the team to do something but it hasn't happened for us yet.
“We have to stick together and when we score the first goal in a match, that will change things. We had chances against City and I thought we were unlucky not to score early in the game.
“As I said, when we do that it will give us confidence.”
