"We are delighted to get him because he’s an excellent prospect and we faced stiff opposition but he’s been here for a couple of days on trial and that proved mutually beneficial," says Director of Football, David Pleat. "What helped us was that he said he has been a fan of Tottenham from a very young age."
Spurs scouts saw Ferguson score twice in a Scottish League Division Three game last week. Pleat added: "Obviously he's still very inexperienced, but we are confident he'll be a worthy addition to our excellent crop of youngsters, some of whom are now beginning to make a mark with the first team."
Described by the local media as a 'teen sensation', Ferguson has scored nine goals in his last eight games.
Spurs continue to build for the future with the signing of 18-year-old forward Steven Ferguson from East Fife for an undisclosed fee. The player was having a medical today (Wednesday).
