Typical of the modest man, Mousa Dembele puts his fantastic form down to the team around him.

There are so many outstanding parts making up this team, but few are appreciated as much by the fans as Mousa, well, just being Mousa in those central midfield areas - a drop of the shoulder, a shift in direction, a step over, an effortless turn away from two men, that glide around the pitch, we’ve seen it all in 28 Premier League appearances (26 starts) this season.

“Yes, I’m very happy at the moment,” said Mousa, who simply smiles at the mention of his form. “As a team, we’ve performed well all season and personally, I feel good as well.

“Like I’ve already said this season, to play in this team is a pleasure and football is so much easier with these guys.  I feel good and when we’re doing well, the quality of this team comes out even more.”

Take us into the dressing room after the draw against West Brom…
“We all believed we could do something special. Okay, it's still something special but we wanted to go for the highest possible. Now it’s more difficult and everyone was frustrated, disappointed. That’s good though because if no-one cared, it would be no good.”

What is the mentality now?
Mousa: “We need to go on. We have three more games and we’ve played the season so well, why should we let up now? We have to end it properly then next season, we’ll go again.”

There is so much positivity around the club at the moment, can the players all feel that as well?
Mousa: “Everyone can feel a positive vibe. That’s normal because the results are good, you can feel the club is going in the right direction already. We’re making the steps everyone wants us to make. It’s been a lot of hard work, a lot of things combined to put us where we are.”

What are your thoughts on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday night?
Mousa: “This is a massive game. A lot has been said but we just want to show what our season is all about. Chelsea will be lifted by this game, but so will we. It is a game that could have everything.”

Finally, what is it like to have 35,000 fans singing your name?
Mousa: “It’s amazing. This season the supporters have embraced me even more and when they sing, it makes me feel very proud. During the game I’m so concentrated but when they all sing my name, you know what, I can’t ignore that.”
