DeAndre Yedlin was involved in Sunderland’s dramatic late comeback at Liverpool on a busy weekend for our loanees.

The US international right-back stepped off the bench as a 75th-minute substitute for the Black Cats at Anfield on Saturday with his side trailing 2-0 in the Premier League.

But two goals in the final eight minutes – the second from ex-Spur Jermain Defoe – saw Sam Allardyce’s men recover to draw 2-2.

Elsewhere in the top flight, Alex Pritchard impressed on his debut for West Bromwich Albion when he was introduced as a half-time substitute in the Baggies’ trip to Newcastle United. However, the attacking midfielder, who linked up with Tony Pulis’ men on transfer deadline day, was ultimately on the losing side with Newcastle winning 1-0.

On Sunday, defender Federico Fazio made his first appearance for Spanish side Sevilla since rejoining them on loan last week – only to suffer the disappointment of a first-half sending-off for two bookable offences in an away game against Celta Vigo. The match, in La Liga, ended 1-1.

In Scotland, defender Dominic Ball played the full game for Rangers as they were held to a goalless draw at home by Kilmarnock in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

Elsewhere that afternoon, midfielder Grant Ward was ever-present for Rotherham United as they suffered a late 2-1 defeat at Bolton Wanderers in the Championship while left-back Connor Ogilvie put in a full shift for Stevenage in their 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Crawley Town in League Two.

Connor's loan has now been extended for another month until March.
