Mon 11 September 2017, 09:41|Tottenham Hotspur

Vincent Janssen made his debut for Fenerbahçe while Anton Walkes played in a significant match for Atlanta United during a busy weekend for our loanees.

Striker Vincent came on as a 64th-minute substitute for his new loan club as they took on Emmanuel Adebayor’s İstanbul Başakşehir at the Ülker Stadium in Turkey.

He joined former Spurs striker Roberto Soldado in attack for the home side, but a stoppage-time goal saw Başakşehir run out 3-2 winners.

Over in America, young defender Anton continued his run of starts at right-back as Atlanta United began life at their brand new Mercedes-Benz Stadium with a 3-0 win over FC Dallas in the MLS. Anton has also recently been in action in away matches against DC United (1-0 defeat) and Philadelphia Union (2-2 draw).

In the Football League, left-back Connor Ogilvie has been ever-present in Gillingham’s starting XI since the start of the League One season. He provided an assist in a 3-3 home draw with Southend United at the end of last month but a 3-0 loss at Oxford United on Saturday has left the Gills languishing in the bottom two.

Centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers, meanwhile, has been on the bench for Sheffield United in Championship victories at home to Derby County (3-1) and, on Saturday, away at Sunderland (2-1) since linking up with Chris Wilder’s side.

After stepping off the bench on the opening day of the season against Hull City, Josh Onomah has started all of Aston Villa’s league matches in the same division since and has been impressive in midfield. He scored his first league goal to equalise for Villa in a 1-1 draw at Bristol City on August 25 and completed 71 minutes in a goalless home draw with Brentford on Saturday.
