The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has launched an important new campaign to help football fans have a safe and enjoyable time at the European Championships in Portugal this summer.
The FCO has also launched a British Consular Hotline (808 78 1966) for any fans requiring assistance while in Portugal.
The campaign, endorsed by footballing greats Sir Bobby Charlton and Eusebio, gives vital information to help fans get the most from their trip to Portugal and to ensure they remember their trip for all the right reasons.
Fans travelling to the tournament should ensure they take out adequate travel insurance, check out the FCO's Euro 2004 travel advice tips and get a cop of its 'On The Ball in Portugal' credit-card sized leaflet, giving advice and tips to travelling fans.
For more information, including a downloadable version of the FCO's 'On The Ball in Portugal' leaflet, log onto www.fco.gov.uk/knowbeforeyougo or call 0870 606 0290.
The FCO wishes you an enjoyable stay in Portugal.
