THE KEY ACTION...SPURS 2, CHESTER CITY 1...

Full-time: Spurs 2, Chester City 1

Added time: SAVE - DORMAN. Parrett in yard of space 20 yards out and drilled in low shot that Dorman took well diving to his left.

Added time: SAVE - BUTLER. Tricks from McManus down the left, looked like a cross but ball shaped on target and needed Butler to tip away to safety.

88mins: GOAL - SPURS. Hutton slotted home from the spot.

86.30: PENALTY - SPURS. Skills from Mason on edge of box and picked out Rose's run from left to right, keeper Dorman out to meet him and looked like Rose got there first, 50-50 though, went over Dorman's challenge and penalty awarded. Reactions suggest it might have been a harsh decision.

85.29: Worrying moment as McManus picked out Ellams' run through the middle - would have been through on goal but couldn't collect pass.

83.15: Thorpe rolled into Ellams, right side of box, could only muster tame shot at Butler.

71.01: Counter-attack from Chester could have caused problems but Ellams' pass to Thorpe cut out by Hutchins.

69.27: Hutton curled 20-yard free-kick over.

65.28: Mason 20-yarder heading for top corner but not enough pace to trouble Dorman.

63.43: SAVE - BUTLER. Feliciello decent free-kick from 20 yards tipped over by Butler.

57.11: CLOSE - SPURS. Audacious attempt from Hutchins who collected keeper Dorman's clearance on halfway and fired it back at goal, ball flew a yard wide.

52.19: CHANCE - SPURS. Berchiche again down the left, fine cross met by Townsend, angled header just wide from 12 yards.

48.02: PENALTY - SPURS? Berchiche raced down the left touchline, deep cross met by Hutton header at far post, blocked by what looked suspiciously like the hand of Feliciello, but penalty appeals waved away.

Half-time: Spurs 1, Chester City 1

37.57: GOAL - SPURS. It was coming. Smith on the overlap down the right, low cross driven high into the net by Rose at the far post.

35.24: CHANCE - SPURS. Hutchins got to the left byline this time, Olsen failed to connect with cross at near post, Townsend's follow up on target but struck Olsen and ball cleared.

31.01: CHANCE - SPURS. Townsend got away from Robson, picked out Livermore who fired over from 16 yards.

27.50: GOAL - CHESTER. McManus cross from the left glanced home by Ellams from six yards.

25.50: SAVE - BUTLER. Great reactions from the Spurs keeper. Ellams got the left byline and pulled back for Morrin to take aim from close range, Butler managed to get across and re-position himself to flick over.

22.28: CHANCE - SPURS. Townsend inside box to Rose, left side, quick turn lost Rowlands but snatched shot wide.

21.01: CHANCE - SPURS. Hutton played in Olsen, right side of box, didn't really get hold of shot from 16 yards and gathered comfortably by Dorman.

19.30: Butcher speculative effort from 30 yards not too far off target but never troubling the keeper.

7.17: Rose skipped away from a couple of lively challenges down the left, whipped low cross in that Olsen just failed to connect with, Livermore drilled rebound wide from 20 yards.
