A fine first-half display laid the foundations as our Under-18s beat West Ham 3-1 on Saturday.
The lads scored twice inside the first 10 minutes and were 3-0 up by half-time in this Premier Academy League encounter at Spurs Lodge.
West Ham responded well in the second half but the damage was done as Alex Inglethorpe's team returned to winning ways.
Kudus Oyenuga (pictured) was involved in all three goals - scoring once, setting up Paul McBride's opener and playing a part as Lee Angol made it 2-0.
Coach Alex reported: "We got at them from the start and went ahead in the third minute when Kudus Oyenuga picked out Paul McBride's run, he beat the offside trap and finished well.
"The second goal soon followed and came from a move down the right and Lee Angol produced a good, first-time finish.
"Paul McBride also did well for the third goal and Lee Angol opened it up for Kudus to tap in from close range.
"West Ham came back into it in the second half, we didn't play as well and in the end conceded a sloppy goal for 3-1.
"It was a bit of a disappointment not to play as well in the second half but it often works out like that, you dominate the first half, the opposition get a bit of a ticking off at half-time and come out even more determined in the second half.
"But we started brightly and played ever so well in the first half. It was a good win."
It's now one defeat in nine in the PAL stretching back to December.
