Fans pitch in for Community Scheme

Posted on 11 May 2002  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

The club’s decision to sell off pieces of the White Hart Lane turf to raise funds for our Football in the Community Department proved to be an excellent success as fans dug deep to help the scheme.

Sections of the pitch were made available to supporters for a small donation and with our fans coming in their hundreds to take advantage of the chance to own a piece of our recent history, the Community Scheme benefited to the tune of £2,480.

“We are delighted so many of our fans took the opportunity to help our scheme,” said Community Officer, Steve Grenfell.

“Their support will help us provide more coaching services for children in and around the local area and I would like to thank everyone who contributed.”
