New initiative sees Club go the extra mile for fans and delivers employment opportunities for local residents
Tottenham Hotspur is enhancing the matchday experience for visitors to White Hart Lane through the launch of its new ‘Fanbassadors’ initiative for the 2015/2016 season.
As part of the Club’s focus on fan services, its stadium regeneration scheme and its commitment to creating employment opportunities for local residents, Tottenham Hotspur has recruited fans from the local area to take on a unique role at all home matches.
With the word ‘Fanbassador’ emblazoned on the rear of their uniforms to make them easily recognisable, supporters will be greeted on arrival on a matchday and provided with key information, from accessing local transport to finding the nearest convenience store.
Inspired by the success the London 2012 ‘Games Makers’, ‘Fanbassadors’ will be located at key points on Tottenham High Road, Park Lane, Worcester Avenue, in front of the Spurs Megastore and at the new Ticket Collections point outside Tottenham Sports Centre.
The ‘Fanbassador’ programme was successfully trialled at matches during the 2014/2015 season and will formally begin at Tottenham Hotspur’s first home match of the new campaign against Stoke City on Saturday (August 15), kick off 3pm.
