Portsmouth boss Harry brings his side to the Lane - including our former skipper Teddy Sheringham - in need of the points to prize themselves away from the edge of the relegation places.
Pompey sit in 17th place on 23 points, while we are seeking to widen the Premiership gap between the teams and get back into winning ways following last week's narrow reverse at Fulham and the desperately disappointing FA Cup elimination.
"Portsmouth will be a tough game because they need the points as well," reasoned Jamie, on the comeback trail following a reserve run-out on Tuesday. "Dad's team are looking for a result but, if we play like we can, we'll be fine."
Jamie reports that his Dad is optimistic Pompey can survive in their first Premiership season on the basis of results at Fratton Park and a hoped for improval on the road.
"He knows their home form has been good and they need to keep that going - that is what will get them through. Away form has been poor and they need to get a couple of results, although hopefully not on Saturday."
Redknapp senior has been busy during the transfer window, bringing in the likes of strikers Ivica Mornar and Lomana Lua Lua, midfielder Eyal Berkovic and defender John Curtis.
"He's clever and that is his game," added Jamie of his Dad's January trading. "You look at it, he hasn't really spent any money and got frees and loans - he's done okay. They've got Lua Lua on loan and I'm sure he'll be alright.
"It was disappointing for us down there and I'm sure the lads will want to prove that was just a blip."

Saturday afternoon brings on one of the rare occasions where Jamie Redknapp does not wish Dad Harry every success.
