For many parents, the day began very early in the morning as their excited kids bounced around in anticipation of their big day.
Gates opened for the event at 5pm and the excitement began to build as everyone said ‘Hi’ to Chirpy and had their photos taken with our FA Cup replica trophy.
Then it was time for the first group of children to line up in the players’ tunnel ready to run down out onto the famous turf to the strains of ‘Glory Glory.’
Eight mini pitches were arranged across the width of the pitch, with Spurs Football Development coaching staff overseeing a series of small-sided games.
The goals flew in as the different age groups all got their chance to take part in a series matches, cheered on by their parents and families in the stands.
Mums, Dads and grandparents had a great view of all the action from the West Upper, and several Dad’s said they'd been allowed to bring their boots for an over-40’s kickabout.
Awards and certificates duly handed out at the end of each session, the children taking part were thrilled to have grabbed their own Chance of a Lifetime.

The rain eventually held off at the Lane as lucky groups of kid aged 6-13 enjoyed the opportunity to play on the same pitch that has witnessed so many great goals and glorious moments over the years.
