Jonathan Woodgate will pit his wits against some familiar faces when we take on Newcastle at the Lane this afternoon.

As well as his knowledge of the squad from his playing days at St James Park - January 2003 to August 2004 - he was also with Michael Owen at Real Madrid, James Milner, Alan Smith and Mark Viduka at Leeds and then Viduka again at Middlesbrough.

And the central defender echoes the thoughts of Spurs players past and present who have played with Viduka that he's one of the best around.

"I played with Mark at Leeds and again at Middlesbrough last season and I don't know exactly how many goals he scored, but his goals probably kept us up, he's that good," said Woody.

Viduka actually scored 19 last season but crucially seven goals in the final six league games as Boro won three and drew at Old Trafford to stave off any relegation fears.

"For a big man, people always say he has great feet and he's briliant," continued Woody. "He's a tremendous player and a real asset for Newcastle."
