Noureddine Naybet will bump into a few familiar faces at the Reebok Stadium on Monday night.

Noureddine Naybet will bump into a few familiar faces at the Reebok Stadium on Monday night.

The well-travelled defender has come across the likes of Jay-Jay Okocha, Radhi Jaidi, Khalilou Fadiga and El Hadji Diouf in African Nations competition and knows former Real Madrid midfielder Ivan Campo from his seven seasons in Spain’s La Liga with Deportivo La Coruna.

“Yes, I know many players at Bolton!†smiled Noureddine, 35, who retired from international football earlier this season after winning over 100 caps for Morocco.

“Jaidi (pictured left) is from Tunisia, a rival for Morocco. He is a good defender, very strong, big and very good in the air.

He has a lot of experience and he’s good for Bolton because he’s dangerous at free-kicks and corners

"He scored a few goals last season (five) and I think he scored recently against Wigan, so we have to watch him.

“Campo is a great footballer. I don’t know what happened to him in Spain, he was a very famous name there but he’s still gone to Bolton and performed very well. I don’t know why he hasn’t been more involved in the national team.

“Okocha is a special player. He is such a creative and imaginative footballer. He has wonderful technique, he can score goals, free-kicks and has a powerful shot.

“I’ve played many times against him for Morocco against Nigeria. He’s a fantastic player and a nice man as well - a player I would go and pay to watch.â€Â
