A memorable 5-3 win against Chelsea on New Year’s Day lifted us up to fifth in the Premier League as we fight on four fronts in the league, FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League.
Ever-present in the Premier League, Hugo, outstanding all season, spoke of the ‘positive atmosphere’ in the squad.
"We have to carry on," said Hugo. "We finished last year well and started this year with a great result against Chelsea.
"Now we have to continue in that way, don’t think about the table and just think about our performances.
"It’s really exciting because we are still in all four competitions with the semi-final of the League Cup to follow soon, and that means we’re close to Wembley.
"We also have the replay in the FA Cup against Burnley and in the Premier League we are in a good position but now we have to stay there and be consistent in the second half of the season. There is also the Europa League. We will try to go as far as we can in all competitions."
After stepping into FA Cup action after the victory against Chelsea, we now return to Premier League action with another London derby at Selhurst Park in Saturday's 5.30pm kick-off.
Palace impressed in a goalless draw at the Lane a month ago. "There is no easy game in the Premier League and no easy place either," said Hugo.
"Palace did well especially against the top teams at the start of the season, now they’ve changed their manager and the players will want to prove their value to the new manager.
"They have a good crowd as well and it’s a hard place to win but we are ready to do our best and continue our good form."
