We have been drawn against Rubin Kazan, PAOK and Shamrock Rovers in the group stages of the Europa League.

Rubin Kazan are currently sixth in the Russian Premier League, PAOK finished fourth in the Greek Super League last season - their current season is yet to start - while Shamrock Rovers, based in Dublin, won the Airtricity League of Ireland Premier Division last year and caused the shock of the play-off round by beating Partizan Belgrade 3-2 on aggregate.

Russian champions in 2008 and 2009 and third last year, Rubin lost lost out in this season's Champions League play-off over two legs against Lyon.

Based in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tartarstan, Rubin made quite an impression in their Champions League debut in 2009-10, when they took four points off Barcelona in the group stages including a 2-1 win at the Nou Camp.

PAOK beat Valerenga of Norway in the third qualifying round and then Karpaty of Ukraine in the play-off to reach the group stages. They are based in Thessaloniki.

Shamrock Rovers scored a penalty seven minutes from the end of extra time to become the first Irish team to secure a place in the group stages of a major UEFA competition.

They are currently level on points but sitting second behind Derry City as they defend their Airtricity League title.

The six group matches will be played from September 15 until December 15. The top two from each group join the third-placed teams from the Champions League groups in the last 32 knockout round.
