The 29-year-old goalkeeper and skipper once again kept a clean sheet as Les Bleus took their Group A tally to seven points out of a possible nine with a share of the spoils.

He also wore the captain’s armband for the 54th time – matching current France boss Didier Deschamps’ record for the most outings as his nation’s skipper.

With France having secured their place in the knockout stages even before kick-off against Switzerland, Hugo will be confident of setting a new benchmark as the tournament goes on.

Elsewhere, Ben Davies and our quintet of players in the England squad have been hard at work in preparation for the final round of matches in Group B this evening (Monday, June 20).

Ben and Wales take on Russia in Toulouse while England, with Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker in their squad, face Slovakia in Saint-Etienne. England currently lead the standings on four points while Wales are second on three.
