The Swedish full-back has started our last two games against Norwich and Palace after first a nasty head knock and then an ankle problem restricted him to just two games in almost three months.
"My fitness isn't a problem," stated Erik after Tuesday's 1-1 draw against Palace. "The only problem is with a few things in matches, coming under pressure and doing things at the right time. That's something I have to get used to.
"I'm learning something in every ganme. It's nice to be back and hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll be where I want to be."
Erik was typically honest in his summary of the Palace game. "The first half wasn't good, we played badly," he admitted.
"No-one was at happy at half-time and we all understood that. We knew we had to come out a new team in the second half and we did that, so it was a pity we didn't win the game.
"We have an ambition to stay at the top and if Crystal Palace comes to visit us we have to win. But every game is tough."
Erik Edman says he's approaching where he wants to be in terms of match sharpness after his lengthy absence.
